1. Describe a project that was particularly challenging. What was challenging about it? What was the solution and what results did you achieve?

   A. I designed a hat box to accommodate different sizes in Solidworks. The maximum lip dimensions were put into an Excel spreadsheet and I was given an image to trace. By accident the box also turned out to be suitable to be converted to fit a Star Vader helmet.

   B. I designed a SAM – sniffer (sensor) in 3D AutoCad. It is a detector for a dirty radiation bomb.

2. Which CAD software programs do you find the most useful for the kind of work that you do?

   I use AutoCad for 2D work, and SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro/E, Creo for 3D.

3. What are the pros and cons of the various CAD software programs that you use?

   I keep up to date with software by practicing

4. How do you keep yourself up-to-date with the various developments in your field of work?

   I do everything myself. I don’t feel comfortable giving work to someone else because it may not turn out to be correct. I would rather make and correct my own mistakes.

H. DeMayta is a BIM expert and architectural designer with over 15 years of professional experience. Her background in construction combined with education in business administration and architecture has given her a wide range of experience across the AEC industry. This cross-discipline experience has led to an intimate knowledge of building design and construction that has proven to be invaluable in her more recent years as a BIM implementation strategist and manager. In these roles she enjoys helping a wide variety of firms and project teams with BIM integration, training, and best practices as well as coordinating their projects with engineering and design counterparts to ensure that the full potential of varying BIM technologies are utilized in their projects. She is fully versed in construction techniques, industry standards, and applicable local and national building codes and how to incorporate these in to BIM models to ensure that compliance and construct-ability is achieved.

B. Mitran has a B.Sc. in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. Mr Mitran is a BIM specialist, and also provides BIM training. 

M. El-Nahas is a Design Architect and Interior Designer, and is experienced in architectural design, interior design and architectural visualization. Producing architectural concepts, preparing architectural drawings, sketches, drafting, working drawings. Providing Interior and Exterior Architectural design for all kind of projects. He is expert in AutoCad, 3Ds Max, Revit, Impression and other graphics software. He has worked on a wide range of projects, including resorts, malls, all kind of residential and commercial projects. Mr. M. El-Nahas received a BSc in Architectural engineering and Diploma in Project management.

P. Hegde is a Lisenced Architect specializing in Designing, Master Planning, Working Drawings, Municipal Drawings and Presentation Drawings. Her skill set includes Autocad, Revit Architecture, Photoshop, Architectural Design and Drafting.

D. Psarros is a project engineer/manager of industrial projects with extensive experience in the oil industry. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Polytechnical School. He also holds an MSc in Automation and Control Systems from National Technical University of Athens. His academic research was focused on machine design, structural simulation and mechatronics-robotics design, using CAD/CAE modeling and simulation tools. He is also a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA), servicing road transportation companies. He is experienced in conceptual and detailed design (2D/3D), drafting, 3D modeling and simulation of structures varying from small scale equipment like NDT sensors and robotic tools/manipulators, to larger scale structures including road tanker equipment, oil storage tanks and piping.

S. Chandran is a professional interior and graphic designer specializing in architecture, interior designing and 3D modelling. He is an expert in 3DS Max and CorelDraw, is proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop and has a diploma in Architectural Interior Designing.

I. Spasic designs models for testing in wind tunnels, including the interior redesign of models for placing measurement equipment, redesign of the exterior of the model for optimization of geometry for the wind tunnel test, making the necessary technical documentation, production and assembly documentation. His work includes coordination with manufacturing engineers in the preparation of technological process and machining (CAM), and coordination of all stages and final model control.
