V. Gainoutdinov is currently an independent CAD consultant, a role he has performed since 1993. Mr. Gainoutdinov was previously the head of design at Lambda Research optics, a mechanical engineering design company based in the United States, from 1993 to 2013.

Mr. Gainoutdinov oversaw all design activities for the company and managed a team of 2D and 3D designers (focusing on Autodesk Inventor SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CATIA 5). Mr. Gainoutdinov started his career as Mechanical Engineer at Sure Fire LLC., where he was responsible for implementing the use of CAD tools in the company. He also worked directly with the company’s customers, including military personnel and engineers. Mr. Gainoutdinov received a BMES in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace from MATI.

1. Describe a project that was particularly challenging. What was challenging about it? What was the solution and what results did you achieve?

   All projects which I managed were challenging . Challenges differ from material of the product to customer requests. Solution is simple: do what customer required.

2. Which CAD software programs do you find the most useful for the kind of work that you do? What are the pros and cons of the various CAD software programs that you use?

   I use different CAD software, such as Solid Works,Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V5, Pro-E CREO. All software are different in way of operation and speed

3. How do you keep yourself up-to-date with the various developments in your field of work?
   Which new skills have you acquired in the past year?
   What new skills do you plan to acquire in the future?

   I do update my skills by keeping myself informed by checking Engineering Websites, company new product development announcements regarding material properties and product design based on new modern materials. I do have some plans.

4. Are there any kinds of activities that you feel are better to outsource or subcontract than to do yourself?
   Why or why not?
   What are some of the risks, in your opinion? Benefits?

   I prefer to do jobs myself because I am not sure that anyone else can make my project better.

L. Priya has many years of experience in the preparation of Autocad drawings, structural drafting, GIS mapping and LiDAR. She is well versed in Autocad, Autocad Map, Google Sketchup, 3Ds Max, ArcView, ArcCatalog, Arctoolbox, Bentley Microstation, Terra Scan and Terra Modeler.

Prajapati has been working on CAD-based projects since 2003. He is skilled in both 2D drafting as well as 3D modelling.

He has mainly been handling commercial building projects for clients. He has worked on projects for corporate clients, registered NGOs and international organizations that focus on school construction projects. From 2015 he has been working for an international NGO involved in projects related to agriculture, forestry, health, education, disability, renewable energy, construction, environment and poverty reduction in Nepal.

His favorite software for 2D drawings is AutoCAD and for 3D visualization he prefers SketchUp, but also creates models in Revit. For 3D visualization, he makes use of SketchUp and Autodesk 3DS Max. For creating animations, he uses Lumion Architecture along with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. He has drafted and put together raster to vector conversions in the past but has been focusing mainly on 2D modelling since 2015.

His favorite project was a cable car project in Nepal. The project aids tourists visiting a temple near Mount Everest. The challenge here was to design standard machinery drawings and to include every detail of the cable car supplier. This involved a great amount of coordination.

He uses Skype, Viber and WhatsApp to communicate with clients when working on a project at a location far from his client.

P. Hegde is a Lisenced Architect specializing in Designing, Master Planning, Working Drawings, Municipal Drawings and Presentation Drawings. Her skill set includes Autocad, Revit Architecture, Photoshop, Architectural Design and Drafting.

M. Shaikh is an independent CAD consultant. He specializes in AutoCad 2005 and has extensive experience in the areas of G.A. Drawings, Designs, Pattern Checking, Casting Checking.

D. Psarros is a project engineer/manager of industrial projects with extensive experience in the oil industry. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Polytechnical School. He also holds an MSc in Automation and Control Systems from National Technical University of Athens. His academic research was focused on machine design, structural simulation and mechatronics-robotics design, using CAD/CAE modeling and simulation tools. He is also a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA), servicing road transportation companies. He is experienced in conceptual and detailed design (2D/3D), drafting, 3D modeling and simulation of structures varying from small scale equipment like NDT sensors and robotic tools/manipulators, to larger scale structures including road tanker equipment, oil storage tanks and piping.

R. Carrion has a 2 year degree in computer information science, computer drafting and design and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design. He has a strong background in computer drafting and design, with an emphasis on architecture and structural design. He has also been producing high quality construction documentation for clients on a daily basis since 2003. Mr. Carrion is skilled in the use of Autocad, Architecture, Autodesk Impression, Revit Architecture, Photoshop, Sketchup Pro and various photographic applications. He has implemented successful CAD and design standards in a wide range of companies.

P. Mutyala has 11 years of experience in Geo-spatial Data Management services, CAD designing services, including 5 years of experience on projects in Australia. He has worked on numerous projects related to GIS, CAD designing and CAD conversion projects, and is highly experience in using a wide range of CAD and GIS drafting applications.

N. Chaudhary is an architect who has specialized in architectural detailing. She has designed and detailed residential homes (including interiors), offices and factories. She is an expert in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop, and has worked on a wide range of projects, including airports, resorts, group housing, dormitories and golf clubs.

F.Merrad is a mechanical engineer having four years of experience in industrial design, planning product development, training and design graphic, with professional certifications in SoliWorks design software . Also having strong management skills with the ability to work under pressure and target oriented. Having very good computer skills, and other in graphic design.
